Incredibly, the Government of Canada on it's Policy website came out with a document which details all their goals to merge man with machine. Look at their website here:
Some of the more interesting admissions were that they are going to:
"Change human beings – our bodies, minds, and behaviours"
"change or create other organisms"
I believe the quote below is the fulfillment of the Iron Mixed with Clay Kingdom mentioned as the last Kingdom in the Prophetic book of Daniel:
"Digital technology can be embedded in organisms, and biological components can exist as parts of digital technologies. The physical meshing, manipulating, and merging of the biological and digital are creating new hybrid forms of life and technology, each functioning in the tangible world, often with heightened capabilities".

I picked out some other quotes from their website which were also quite revealing:

The website pushes the idea of Evolution and says this is the next step of Evolution leaving God totally out of the equation.
